Taking a look at this year’s liveries there are some really striking colours on the grid for 2009. VX Racing have chosen an evolution of their 2008 livery, with the addition of some John Guest and Pirtek logos courtesy of sponsorship brought in by Andrew Jordan. I have to say that I think that this is an improvement on 2008, with the increased levels of white making the car look better.

The Team AON livery could have had so much more done to it though. I’m not a fan of the sudden distinction between the blue and the white, but the racing stripes do make the car look ‘racey’.

Congratulations to Motorbase Performance for attracting a major new title sponsor in Wrigleys Airwaves as well. However making your BMW’s look like they’ve just brought a couple of blue doors from the scrapyard is not such a great move. The team seem to have realised this, and for the official Brands Hatch turned up with the cars sporting new make-up: eyeshadow around the headlamps. Brilliant!

I do wonder how new team Boulevard Team Racing came up with their livery design? Perhaps inspiration is revealed below…
